Ervin Ascic was Awarded Best Cancer Thesis of 2025 at Lund University

After defending his PhD last September, Pereira Lab alumnus Ervin Ascic was awarded the Best Doctoral Thesis of the Year 2025 in the field of cancer at Lund University.

Ervin’s thesis, entitled “Dendritic Cell Reprogramming for Cancer Immunotherapy,” highlights the potential of dendritic cell reprogramming as an in vivo cancer therapy. The Pereira Lab congratulates Ervin and is thrilled to see the groundbreaking nature of this work continually recognized.

We are honored that this marks the second student from our laboratory to receive this prestigious award: Fabio Rosa in 2021 and Ervin Ascic in 2025.
