Filipe Pereira is Welcomed as a SciLifeLab Group Leader

Filipe Pereira is joining the SciLifeLab community as one of its Group Leaders – a set of key SciLifeLab members whose contributions to biology and technology promote excellence within the life sciences environment in Sweden and internationally.

The SciLifeLab is an interdisciplinary research community strengthening collaborations and forwarding solutions in the fields of health and sustainability. SciLifeLab Group Leaders harness tools such as genomics, bioinformatics, and precision medicine to consolidate the social impact of scientific research. When welcoming new Group Leaders as leadership examples across institutions and disciplines, the SciLifeLab community follows a transparent and rigorous nomination and evolution process.

Filipe Pereira aims to contribute to the collaborative mindset at SciLifeLab and encourage the next generation of researchers to bridge life sciences and health. His work at the crossroad between cellular reprogramming and immunology has unlocked exciting opportunities for cancer immunotherapy, which can subsequently tackle the disease burden of global healthcare systems.
