Hanlei Wu
MSc Student
Biography
Hanlei obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science from Chongqing Medical University, China. During her undergraduate studies, she participated in research projects related to gene regulation mechanisms and microfluidic chip technology, and completed a clinical data analysis as her graduation thesis. These experiences helped her develop strong skills in basic laboratory techniques, interdisciplinary research, and data analysis. She was first introduced to stem cells and cellular reprogramming during her Cell Engineering course and quickly developed a strong interest in the field. Motivated by this, she applied to the Master’s program in Biomedicine at Lund University and learned about the cutting-edge research conducted in Pereira’s lab. She will join the lab for a summer research project and her master’s thesis, focusing on improving reprogramming efficiency by optimizing the cDC1 reprogramming cassette.
During free time, Hanlei enjoys drawing, playing table tennis, and traveling.
