Biography
Konstantinos completed his BSc at the University of West of Scotland (Scotland, UK) where he studied Psychology. Upon graduating, he fulfilled his national military service in Greece where he served as a Psychologist alongside doctors and psychiatrists, which deepened his interest in the workings of the brain. To delve deeper into the molecular underpinnings of brain disease, Konstantinos completed his MSc at Maastricht University (The Netherlands) where he recently graduated with a degree in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience, specializing in Fundamental Neuroscience. As part of his postgraduate studies, Konstantinos interned at the lab of Benedikt Berninger at the Centre for Developmental Neurobiology, King’s College London, where he wrote up his thesis on the identification of candidate genes in Ascl1 and Ascl1SA6-induced glia-to-neuron reprogramming in-vitro.
Konstantinos is a very relaxed and easy-going individual who loves to play volleyball and enjoys singing, writing, going to the cinema, and spending time with friends.
