Biography

Mariana has a background in human genetics and cell biology, with a PhD in Comparative and Molecular Genetics. She focused on studying chromosome organization, and the function of non-coding RNAs in cancer. During her PhD, she developed a strong interest in scientific writing and communication, which she is now enthusiastically pursuing in the Pereira team.

During her free time, Mariana enjoys reading, talking with friends about food, and exploring new places.
