Vicente Caiado

BSc Student - FCG NT Fellow

Biography

Vicente Caiado is a third-year Biology student at the University of Coimbra. He is currently a recipient of the Gulbenkian “Novos Talentos” fellowship, developing a project on the in vivo reprogramming of monocytes into dendritic cells as a novel cancer immunotherapy strategy. His current primary research interests lie in cancer biology, immunology, and translational approaches to cellular therapy.

Outside the laboratory, Vicente is actively engaged in creative and community-based projects. He has participated in various volunteer initiatives, educational workshops, and cultural activities, and holds two representative positions within university life. A passionate musician, he plays piano and enjoys travelling and exploring new cultures.
