Biography

Catarina received her PhD in Health Sciences at the University of Minho (ICVS, Braga, Portugal), and performed postdoctoral training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (New York, US). Catarina has a solid scientific background in cellular plasticity and neuroscience, focused on the interplay between the periphery and the brain, and expertise as Project Manager for European-funded projects.

Outside the lab, Catarina enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, and exploring new restaurants.
