Liliana Oliver Rios

Postdoctoral Fellow

Biography

Liliana pursued her PhD in Biological Sciences at the University of Havana. This program provided her with a comprehensive theoretical background, which also includes knowledge of other disciplines like Physiology, Genetics, and Microbiology (among others), with a particular specialization in Immunology. She has acquired significant experience in the fields of immunomodulation and cancer immunotherapy. Her project has been an excellent platform to develop skills in a wide range of laboratory techniques and animal models, acquiring experience both in basic and translational research over the years. During this time, she has focused on investigating the reprogramming of immunosuppressive myeloid cells into antigen-presenting cells, capable of orchestrating an effective immune response against cancer.

In her time after work, she is passionate about accompanying and guiding the growth path of her two little daughters.
