Margarida Brás

Research Assistant

Margarida graduated in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Aveiro. She also pursued a master’s degree in Molecular Genetics and Biomedicine, having the opportunity to develop her dissertation project at the Instituto de Medicina Molecular (iMM, Lisbon), centered on the immunomodulatory role of MANF protein in skeletal muscle regeneration. During her time at iMM, Margarida also studied the impact of aging on the complex immune dynamics in homeostatic and regenerating skeletal muscle. As a true enthusiast about immunology and the potential of cell reprogramming, Margarida is excited about the opportunity to work in the Pereira Lab.

Besides science, Margarida loves listening to music and going to concerts. She also enjoys watching series, exercising, and photography.
